Tuition Terms & Conditions

These Terms & Conditions set out how tuition is delivered by Hobley Music School (“HMS”) to pupils in partnership with schools. By enrolling your child for lessons, you agree to the following:

1. Lesson Provision

  • HMS aims to provide 34 lessons per academic year.

  • Lessons are scheduled during the school day in agreement with the school.

  • Some months may contain more lessons than others, but the monthly tuition fee remains the same to ensure consistency of payments across the year.

2. Attendance & Absence

  • Pupil absence (including illness, appointments, school trips, or events) will normally be recorded as a missed lesson and will not be rescheduled or refunded, unless we are told more than 24 hours in advance.

  • If a teacher is absent, any missed lessons will be rescheduled or credited, as these are not included in the annual entitlement.

3. Tuition Fees & Payment

  • Tuition is charged as a flat monthly fee, spread evenly across the year, regardless of the number of lessons that fall in any given month.

  • Current tuition fees are published on our website: hobley musicschool.co.uk/tuition-fees.

  • Fees are payable on the 1st of each month via GoCardless Direct Debit.

  • Late payment or failed payment will result in a £5 + VAT fee being added to your account.

  • Lessons will not continue if fees are not paid.

4. Notice Period & Cancellations

  • If you wish to stop lessons, 1 week’s notice before the next pay cycle (1st of the month) is required.

  • Notice must be provided in writing (email).

  • No refunds will be given for lessons missed during the notice period.

5. General

  • HMS reserves the right to review and update these Terms & Conditions at any time. Any changes will be communicated to parents and schools.

  • Enrolment in lessons confirms acceptance of these Terms & Conditions.
